Empowerment & Psychological Support Project

Empowerment & Psychological Support Project

A women’s empowerment project in Dheisheh Refugee Camp aims to support women by enhancing their skills, wellbeing, and active role in the community. The project focuses on providing a safe and supportive environment where women can grow personally and socially despite challenging living conditions. It includes a range of courses such as educational and psychosocial awareness sessions, which help women build knowledge, resilience, and mental health awareness. In addition, Palestinian embroidery training courses preserve cultural heritage while offering women an opportunity to develop income-generating skills. The project also incorporates recreational sports activities to promote physical health, teamwork, and stress relief. Altogether, this initiative empowers women by strengthening their confidence, independence, and ability to contribute positively to their families and community. Main courses:
- Educational and psychosocial awareness courses
- Palestinian embroidery training courses
- Recreational sport activities .
Last year, the program supported more than 40 women. Between 2026 and 2028, the number of women beneficiaries is expected to increase to approximately 100.
