Educational Awareness Session on Healthy Eating and Oral Hygiene for Kindergarten and Nursery Children, in Collaboration with Bethlehem University Students
Ibdaa Kindergarten and Institution organized an educational awareness session for kindergarten and nursery children, focusing on the importance of healthy eating, the harms of unhealthy food, and the importance of maintaining good oral and dental hygiene. The event was held in collaboration with students from Bethlehem University.
During the session, the students presented simple, age-appropriate activities based on play, interaction, illustrated stories, and movement games. Through these activities, the children learned to distinguish between nutritious foods, such as fruits, vegetables, milk, and dairy products, and harmful foods, such as sweets, fizzy drinks, fast food, and sugary juices, and how these foods affect their bodies, teeth, and growth.
The students also showed the children, in a fun and engaging way, the correct way to brush their teeth with a toothbrush and toothpaste, and explained the importance of brushing in the morning, in the evening, and after eating sweets. Using dental models and demonstration toothbrushes, the children took part in practicing what they had learned. The session also included songs, educational games, and the distribution of small gifts and toothbrushes to encourage the children to maintain healthy habits.
Ibdaa Institution stressed that such sessions aim to instill healthy habits in children from an early age, noting the important role of both families and kindergartens in reinforcing these habits and encouraging children to eat healthily and take care of their oral and dental hygiene.
The kindergarten extended its thanks to the Bethlehem University students for their outstanding efforts and valuable participation, expressing appreciation for their cooperation in raising health awareness among children, and affirming its commitment to continuing this collaboration in organizing similar awareness and educational activities
